Bank of Baroda (BOBCARD) has announced a set of updates to its credit cards. These changes will come into effect from 1 April 2026 and will impact both credit card reward points and certain types of transactions.

Bank of Baroda has introduced a number of changes to its credit cards. These changes would come into force from 1 April 2026.
The changes relate to reward points (RPs) earned and charges levied on payments made via credit cards across various categories. The reward points and charges vary based on the credit card used and the amount spent.

All BOBCARD variants: Spends on Telecom (MCC 4814) will now earn core reward points. See the picture below for Core reward points by product variant.
Empower Business Credit Card: Cardholder will now earn 5X Reward points, i.e. 5 reward points for every ₹100 spent on Utility (MCC 4900), subject to a maximum of 1000 reward points per statement Cycle.
Corporate Premium Credit Card: Cash withdrawal Limit for Corporate Cards will be reduced from the existing 40% of the Card limit to 20% of the credit limit.
Changes in charges
Education fee payments: A 1 per cent fee (subject to a maximum of ₹5000 per transaction) will be charged on online education fee payments via third-party payment apps - Cheq, CRED, Ease My Deal, Mobikwik, NoBroker, Paytm, Phonepe, SuperPe.
Toll and bus: A flat 1% fee will be charged on all Toll & Bus (MCC 4784) transactions where the transaction amount is ₹5000 or more.
Railway bookings: 1% fee (subject to a maximum of ₹5000 per transaction) will be charged on railway bookings (MCC 4112) of ₹30,000 or higher.
